Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co., Inc. Hosts Golf Outing

Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co., Inc., hosted its annual golf tournament on Friday, August 8th. The four person scramble was held at Sand Creek Station Golf Club in Newton, Kansas. After early morning showers, the golfers enjoyed a beautiful day on the course.

Prizes were awarded to the top three teams as well as three contests throughout the course for the golfers to partake in. The main contest was a hole-in-one challenge with the winner going home with a 35G Compact Excavator. Although no one hit the hole-in-one, there were a couple balls come within a few feet of the hole. The other two contests were a longest putt and longest drive competition. To switch things up, the winner of the longest drive received an Odyssey White Hot Pro putter and the participant with the longest putt won a Cobra driver.

Taking first place was Towanda Township with a score of 62. Not far behind was Gore Township placing 2nd and Affordable Mini-Storage LLC taking 3rd. Chad Hinton of Diamond Engineering won the longest drive contest and Bill McQueen of Towanda Township captured the longest putt challenge.
